FAQ's

How do I purchase a ticket?

Tickets are only available through this official website and are issued by our ticketing partner, FLICKET.

What ages apply to ticketing?

Adult: 15 yo +

Youth: 2 yo - 14 yo

Free (no ticket required): Under 2yo

Proof of age maybe requested at the gate. Age is  consider at the time of the event.

What is the best day to come watch? 

The answer is both days. Over the course of the weekend we are hosting Round 1 of the UCI BMX Racing World Cup on Saturday 10 February and Round 2 on Sunday 11 February. Which means both days are jam-packed with heats and finals for all categories. Check out the event schedule here.

What are the 'fees'?

All process are excluding booking fee and credit card processing fee.

The booking fee is set by our booking provider and assist with the costs to operate the online ticketing platform.  Adult ticket fee is $1.95, youth ticket fee is $1.15 incl GST.

The credit card fees are the fees to process your payment by the nominated  processing company.  For a NZ card this is 1.95% plus .20c per transaction.

​

None of these fees are retained by the event.

Who is organising this event?

Cycling New Zealand have a contract with UCI to deliver this event.  Cycling New Zealand has the support of BMX New Zealand and Rotorua BMX  Club (collectively known as the "The Event Partners" ) and have contracted an Event Manager to assist in the delivery of this event. 

​

Can I enter this event?

This event is for Championship Class riders only. There are two categories, U23 (for Junior and U23 Riders) and Elite.

Entries must be submitted by your National Cycling Federation.  New Zealand riders should contact Cycling New Zealand directly.

Can I bring glass bottles?

No, no glass items are permitted in the venue. 

​

Can I bring my own alcohol?

No, the public spaces are alcohol free. Those found in the possession of alcohol (or other prohibited items)  will be removed from the venue. 

​

Can I bike to the event?

Yes! We would love that! We have a bike rack for you near the entrance, please bring a lock. 

​

Is there a fee for parking? 

No, parking is free for those attending the event. 

​

Can I bring my dog (or other animal?)

No. We are animal free. Please leave your animals at home.
